For the region’s wealthy, Latin America’s economic reforms during the 90’s changed the playing field, generally for the better. Restrictions on movements of currency and capital were lifted, opening up a world of investment and savings vehicles to the region’s biggest earners and savers. As a result, the new breed of wealthy Latins are demanding more sophisticated and personalized investment and savings management services than their parents, who for the most part were happy to plant their cash in low-risk savings accounts abroad
