Companies that do business in all or most of Latin America grapple with the challenge of segmenting the market. Some try to lump the region into a single block and offer a universal bilingual or trilingual package with centralized sales, often managed from corporate headquarters in Miami. At the other extreme, some companies identify unique pockets of demand and divide the region of 20 countries into 50 markets or more.
