The Colombianization of Mexico
As the Mexican drug cartels extend their power and corrosive influence, look south to Colombia to understand where Mexico is headed. But, while drug-related violence will likely continue unabated for some time, there are reasons to find solace in the example of Colombia, where the government eventually learned to how win back the country.
