access the full articles, which can then be read online or individually

Sponsored
Guest Articles
Guest
articles are intended to provide subscribers with interesting stories
prepared by experts, and to provide the sponsor with access to the
InfoAmericas subscriber base. These articles are envisioned as containing
specialized market information as well as expert opinion and advice. They
may be written by sponsors or prepared by InfoAmericas writers from
sponsor-provided content.
The length
of guest articles is not limited in the full online story, but the space
allocated to the emailed newsletter, and the full
length downloadable edition is based on a full story length of about 1,200
words, plus graphics. Sponsors may elect to link additional material on
their own sites to the full-length story on the InfoAmericas site.
Although Tendencias
is published by InfoAmericas for promotional purposes, our editorial
policy is based on maximizing the credibility of the publication and its
acceptability to a wide range of portal sites. This means that overt
commercial content must be avoided, and that self promotion should be as
subtle as possible.
We suggest
that authors of guest articles should keep the main text objective and
informative and provide promotional content in peripheral forms. For
example, the main article may contain links to external pages on the
sponsor's web site that contain promotional content. We include an
"about the author" link in the main article on our website. This
can be used to introduce a description of the sponsoring company in a more
promotional tone than would be acceptable in the newsletter itself.
InfoAmericas
reserves the right to edit the final published article as necessary to
maintain the authoritative tone of the publication. While every effort
will be made to accommodate the interests of the sponsor, articles may be
rejected by InfoAmericas where no agreement can be reached. In this case
there will be no charge to the sponsor.
The full
version of the article on the InfoAmericas website will include the
following disclaimer:
"This
article has been written by a recognized expert on the subject matter
involved, and is provided by InfoAmericas with the expectation that our
readers will find it interesting and informative. Opinions expressed and
information provided are the responsibility of the author, and
InfoAmericas accepts no responsibility for any use that readers may make
of this material. Readers can contact the author by clicking here."
Assuming a
1200 word sponsored article with two or three graphics, the following
logistical arrangement will be used to deliver the content to Tendencias
subscribers. Other arrangements are negotiable.
1. A
summary of the article of up to 240 words plus one graphic will appear as
the second story in an agreed issue of Tendencias in both the email
and online public access versions.
2. The
summary article will include at least two hyperlinks to the "full
story". When users click on those links the full story will open in
their browsers. User will be able to save or print the full story.
3. The full
story is limited in length only for the downloadable printable editions of
the full newsletter. The online full story can be any length, but we
suggest that roughly 1200 words is most appropriate for maximizing user
exposure for this type of article. The full story will include an
"about the author" paragraph on the InfoAmericas web site.
Additional links to the sponsor's web site may be included with the
article. These may include corporate logos and brief highlights of the
information targeted by the links.
4.
"Click-throughs" to the sponsor's website will open a new
browser window, without leaving the Tendencias page. Each
"click-through" will be logged and the resulting data will be
used as the basis for sponsorship fees.
InfoAmericas
will design the article in such a way as to make it visually compatible
with the overall newsletter. The cost of this design is included in the
base cost of the sponsorship.
To maintain
a consistent editorial tone throughout the newsletter, and to establish
the sponsored article as an integral part of the document, we suggest the
use of InfoAmericas editing services. Our writers can also write the full
article, from research materials provided by the sponsor. The cost of this
work is billable in addition to base sponsorship fees.
